We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to join our team. The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. Assist with data entry of financial transactions into accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.

Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely payment

Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies

Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements

Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes

Support the finance team with ad hoc projects as needed Experience

Previous experience in a similar role preferred

Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices

Excellent organisational and time management skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

Accounting: 2 years (required)

AAT Certification (required)
