Full Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting employees with specific development plans and how they learn through self-directed and social learning, and ensure employees receive statutory required training., Work under the general direction of the Housing Business Support Manager to achieve the training and development needs of the Directorate of Housing and Investment Services.

- To review existing practices and make recommendations on the development and training requirements for Housing and Investment staff in consultation with employees, management, union learning representatives and HR.

- To set up training provision in line with the corporate direction of the Council for all Housing and Investment employees.

- To assist staff with an aim to have specific development plans, and how they learn through self-directed and social learning.

- To be a member of the Corporate Organisational Development Group to assist in all matters relating to workforce planning, learning and development, workforce performance, and organisational culture.

You will be approachable and able to form good relationships; you will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and be good at working as part of a team., Working awareness of training requirements specific to construction and housing.

- Ability to be structured, logical and objective in approach to work and decision making.

- Ability to prioritise workloads and work under pressure to ensure that both deadlines are met, and high levels of service are maintained.

- Experience of undertaking training needs analysis.

- Experience of producing development plans.

- Experience of and ability to develop and implement innovative training and development solutions.
