Full Job Description

We're looking for a proactive and hands-on Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Corporate Sustainability and Reporting team. The role will be primarily responsible for ensuring that the reporting needs of the business stakeholders are met which will involve delivery (including requirements capture, design, build, deploy and maintenance) and utilisation of data products to satisfy stakeholders and sustainability legislation compliance obligations.

You'll be working in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up type environment where collaboration and results which propel Dyson on it's journey towards Sustainability are critical. You'll build strong relationships with key business stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient delivery of actionable reporting. The role will both allow Dyson to fulfil its sustainability reporting obligations and facilitate improved understanding of the ESG status within Dyson.

This position reports to the Sustainability Analytics Manager and is based in Malmesbury, England.

You will:

  • Develop Dyson's annual ESG reporting, ensuring alignment with reporting frameworks and stakeholder expectations

  • Develop and maintain data models with enrichment where necessary

  • Produce and support a suite of ESG dashboards with clear and actionable insights and engaging visualisations

  • Enable the business to make sound Sustainability decisions, calling on business understanding and insights from data

  • Drive business transformation through robust relationships with the use of data, analytics, and great communication

  • Prepare the business for legislation changes by proactively identifying and solving data challenges

  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security through robust testing and validation

  • Identify opportunities for data quality and performance improvement

  • Maintain appropriate records, guidance materials and documentation to ensure good controls and governance

  • Be willing to be flexible in tasks and activities taken on

  • Thrive on change with an ability to deliver under pressure

    You will have:

  • 3 years+ in similar roles

  • Experience of working with and modelling complex data sets in data warehouses

  • Experience with industry-standard visualisation and Business Intelligence tools like Tableau, Looker, Power BI, etc.

  • Familiar with ETL (on premise or cloud based) and competent with SQL

  • Familiarity with data transformation tools such as DBT

  • An understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into technical requirements and solutions

  • Enthusiasm to drive actionable insight

  • Self-motivated, dynamic and results-driven

  • Experience in technology, finance, ESG topics a plus.

  • The ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and develop deep content knowledge quickly.

  • Excellent communication skills and be comfortable engaging with stakeholders of varied seniority.

    About The Team

    The Corporate Sustainability and Reporting team (CS&R) is based in the UK and Singapore, reporting into the Chief Legal Officer.

    The CS&R team works with the business to develop and deliver the Sustainability agenda and associated change programme, and also advise on the strategic corporate level approach. Alongside the production, assurance and publication of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) disclosures, this work involves the identification, assessment and management of sustainability risk, data collection for reporting, and the planning, coordination and capture of ESG initiatives happening across the business. We support Sustainability activities across multiple functions and markets, focussing on effective stakeholder engagement and communication.
