Full Job Description

We are currently recruiting a Survey Operations Manager to join our team in Manchester. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous surveying and project management experience to work within the expeditious Geospatial industry. The successful applicant will be reporting to the Head of Department and will be based out of our Manchester office. The ideal candidate will have experience in the survey industry, working on a variety of survey services across the board.

What will I be doing in my new role?

  • Take overall responsibility for the operations of the department.

  • Ensuring efficient scheduling of staff and equipment on projects

  • Liaising with clients

  • Enabling operational staff to work efficiently

  • Checking and delivering of data to clients

  • Working closely with the Head of Department to promote and ensure H&S compliance across the team.

  • Working closely with the Head of Department, Managing Director and the Finance department to ensure projects are monitored and delivered to budgets.

  • Involvement with the recruitment of new staff

  • Line managing department staff and projects

  • Site/Survey activities as required for project delivery

  • Communicate effectively with other departments regarding technical procedures and workflows.

  • Assist in training department staff.

  • Assist in reviewing quotation requests and tender submissions.

    Health, Safety and Environmental Training - SPA, RAMS, lone working etc

  • CSCS Card

  • Relevant Management Training

  • Able to travel nationwide

  • Cat B driver's License

  • Very good level of English

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a senior surveyor in their field (proving competency)

  • Degree in surveying (or related field), Master's degree beneficial.
