As a support worker it will be your job to provide care to clients with a range of care needs. This care will be of the highest standard and be based on client centred care plans.
We are there for our clients whenever they need us. This means we offer a wide variety of shift patterns covering early mornings, evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
As part of the team you'll be employed by Cura Homecare, part of Cura HQ Limited, working within a defined geographical area.
This is a demanding role, both mentally and physically, but equally rewarding.
Key Tasks:
1. Enable clients to remain in their own homes by providing the support and care they need to help make this possible. This includes all types of personal care.
2. Carry out safe manual handling practices in accordance with the company's manual handling policy.
3. To read and understand the client's care plan and risk assessment and to undertake duties at each visit as stated in these documents.
4. To make accurate and clear records in the client's home folders at each visit.
5. To report to the manager any concerns or changes in clients' care needs.
6. To prepare and monitor food and fluid intake to promote a healthy, well balanced diet.
7. Undertake domestic and shopping tasks.
8. Follow company policy and training for the safe handling of medication as per client's care plan.
9. To carry out all care visits at the times stated on your work rota.
10. To participate in ensuring effective communication whilst respecting client confidentiality.
11. To maintain personal/professional boundaries at all times
12. To attend and participate in initial induction training programme and to attend mandatory training at intervals instructed by manager.
