Full Job Description

  • Conducting training needs analysis and offer solutions to satisfy business requirements

  • Plans training and programmes to meet individual and business requirements

  • Develop training packages against trade/function related requirements (on and off the job). Where necessary help the team in sourcing development solutions from external providers

  • Offers and delivers training to the appropriate standard and satisfies business targets and objectives. This will include actual delivery of classroom style training or 'on the job' depending on the requiremen

  • Evaluate training activities to ensure maximum benefit to individuals and the business, this will include reviewing and evaluating the effectiveness of activities and implementing improvement activities

  • Work with Metrology Training Project Leader to develop training plans in conjunction with departmental management teams and assist in their implementation

  • Produce short, medium and long-term plans as appropriate in line with departmental requirements

  • Update training plans in line with training delivery and business requirements, and are reported against

  • Management System documentation e.g. Process Instructions, Workmanship Standards, Risk Assessments etc. applicable to your particular work scope and to obey all HS&E rules and control measures

  • Work to British Standards (BS) and International Standard Organisation (ISO)

    HNC or equivalent experience in a STEM discipline

  • Knowledge of metrology

  • Understanding of UKAS accreditation requirements

  • Experience in the development, delivery, and analysis of training opportunities

    The Senior Trainer - Metrology provides subject matter technical expertise for conducting training analysis, learning design, and data management services for the Instrumentation Calibration Services (ICS) Department. Working as part of a team and with the support and guidance of a Principal Trainer - Metrology, the Senior Trainer will contribute to the department's growth. Metrology is an expanding field within the organization, aiming to make metrology training accessible to all staff at BAE, thereby enhancing the overall knowledge and skills related to metrology across the company.
