In this dynamic position, you will oversee every aspect of our manufacturing process, from programming and engineering to material procurement and labour resourcing.   • Produce production schedules and program of works for workshop resource for each contract including sub vendor activities.

  • liaise with onsite teams to ensure manufacturing requirements are achieved

  • Complete daily progress checks & communicate with workshop supervisors.

  • Liaise and organise sub-contract activities required to complete the project, including interacting with third-party inspectors and client

  • Undertake engineering and prepare work packs to issue for fabrication to the shop floor

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance standards focussed on consistently provide exceptional quality products and services.

  • Study fabrication drawings to identify any potential issue with either materials or manufacturing.

  • Increase the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to enhance manufacturing capacity.

  • Ensure that operational activities remain on time and within budget

  • Ensure all commercial issues are addressed before project completion. i.e. agree and submit client variations to the estimating department.

  • Monitoring all productivity levels and output standards, and quality control requirements

  • Providing advice to the team in the production of detail drawings, as required, together with pre-production checking

  • Maintaining and implementing of all the company's procedures, good working practices and policies, including health and safety, environment, and quality requirements/expectations

  • Managing and coordinating the raising of bills of material and purchase requisitions for materials, parts, and equipment, whilst liaising closely with the Sales and Drawing Office Teams

  • Creating and executing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual production schedules

  • Report all relevant contract information to company directors.

    Experienced Workshop Manager - pipe, mechanical, fabrication, production, inspection within a Workshop environment.

  • Strong emotional intelligence and a very good leader of people and change management

  • Knowledge of business productivity software and an aptitude for learning new applications

  • Deep understanding of production processes and related quality management systems

  • Idea but not essential cswip 3.1

  • Formal production management qualification or training essential (or equivalent technical qualification)

  • Strong skills in cost control

  • Demonstrate proficiency within an Integrated Management System ( IMS ) ,

  • Qualification: ECITB, NVQ level 3, ISOH Managing Safety

  • Ability to understand , read isometrics, content of typical work packs

  • Qualification: ideal but not essential HNC/HND

  • Good Work Ethic, leadership & management qualities

  • Qualification : Leadership & Management Diploma

  • Excellent communication & report writing skills, Production Scheduling: 1 year (preferred)

  • Production Management: 1 year (preferred)

    Working times, Salary & Benefits:

  • Monday to Friday 7am-5pm

  • Salary: £50,000 to £80,000 (DOE)

  • Bonus scheme
