Planning Technician

· Assisting the team in the development and implementation of new planning systems and tools.

· Reviewing chilled and frozen demand and producing daily production plans to suit customer needs, and limit exposure to Lyons through various waste streams.

· Liaising daily with all facets of the total supply chain. Communicating the short-term demands and discussing any issues or changes in both site-based and online meetings and discussions.

· Reviewing customer forecast information and communicating with customer supply chain teams to discuss upcoming promotions, launches, and changes in demand.

· Monitoring and reviewing the data in our planning systems, ensuring the planning data, settings and rules are maintained.

· Any other duties as deemed necessary by the Planning Manager

You will be results orientated, enthusiastic, energetic, and committed. Ideally you will have university degree level education in a analytical discipline, or directly relevant vocational experience.

You will be an enthusiastic but level-headed individual, who is able to communicate and liaise with people from all levels of the business as a significant part of this role is to work cross-functionally.

An understanding of the chilled food industry with prior knowledge of planning functions would be advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided., You will be a self-starter who is keen to find and resolve problems of their own accord, with the ability to work under pressure with the minimum of supervision whilst meeting time constraints.

You will be numerate and computer literate with experience using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Teams, Outlook. Experience with SAP will be preferable but not required.
