IMMEDIATE START!!! We are looking for a highly motivated & experienced Operations Manager to join our high performing team at Staybridge Suites Brighton to work closely with the General Manager supporting the entire hotel operations and development of a strong team who have all been part of a great journey since the pre-opening of this beautiful hotel. We are looking for a hotelier who is proactive, fully flexible and hands on in all areas of the business, ensuring guests have an amazing experience and the business is profitable.

The Operations Manager will assist with the operational management of the Hotel, key emphasis is on the following business segments: Service and Operations, Team building and training, Safety and Security of the premises, Finance Process Adherence, Rota and payroll control, Health & Safety, Brand and PMS training, meeting IHG brand KPIs etc. Main department would be Front Office and Kitchen/Breakfast, but overseeing outsourced HSK as well ensuring all SOPs and processes are in place to meet Brand and safety standards., · Display a pro-active and leading role in terms of service, culture, development, team image, systems, procedures, Rota and payroll control and skills development.

· Work closely with the General Manager on development of the hotel and new projects.

· Lead from the front, which includes being hands on in all areas of the business.

· Be an expert in your field, develop and improve the hotel operating standards, across all areas of the business, which includes housekeeping, guest services (reception), food and beverage Pantry, Breakfast service and fire/life safety processes. Main focus on leading Reception and Breakfast to provide exceptional guest experience.

· Manage the efforts of all Hotel employees in providing a high level of customer service, through regular on job training and coaching.

· Able to act with initiative, planning and possible consequences. Being pro-active in getting things done and exceeding expectations of both guests and colleagues.

· Be guest-centric by preventing complaints, however on the rare occasion things go wrong; hence, ensure all complaints and feedback is carried out in a professional and timely manner.

· Devise weekly DM rota and departmental rosters and contribute to shifts based on business demands (including evenings and weekends).

· Have attention to detail, completing regular bedroom cleanliness and Fire Life Safety checks.

· Have sound knowledge and comply with all regulatory procedures, to include having a premises license.

· Have solid IT knowledge.

Key Requirements:

· Ideally 2 years' experience in a hotel - managerial role.

· Experience of a hotel PMS; ideally Opera PMS.

· A proven track record in managing a team.

· Hands on and able to work shifts, including early starts, finishing late and weekends mainly.

Pay: £31,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
