We are extremely excited to announce a new role in our Creative Arts team based in the Mansfield Old Library. Our Creative Arts provision is a theatrical space, a recording studio, a creative learning environment that enables children and young people to fully emerge themselves safely into the arts.

R.E.A.L. Education is an alternative education provider who Rethinks Engagement Approaches to Learning and does this by providing individualised learning pathways. Our Learners are young people who are struggling to achieve in mainstream schools for a variety of reasons and often have a diagnosis of ADHD and Autism.

To help our learner overcome barriers to education, by helping them to communicate effectively and know how to verbalise emotions through music. To support individuals to express difficult emotions and give them another way to externalise how they feel. We are looking for a qualified Music Group Tutor to support our Learners by providing an innovative, creative and flexible curriculum using music.

We are looking for someone who has relevant experience within the creative industry and has worked with children and young people with SEN. Our ideal candidate will be someone who has a strong understanding of the challenges faced by those who are managing mental health issues in educational settings.

Job Title: Music Group Tutor

Salary: £21,000 - £25,000

Hours: 37.5 hours per week for full-time (pro-rata hours for part-time/job share)

Weeks: 44 weeks

Location: East Midlands - Mansfield, Nottinghamshire

The role is based at our Old Library site in Mansfield which has an array of superb (if we do say so ourselves) facilities such as a theatrical space, a recording studio, which give learners a creative learning environment.

Closing Date: Monday 3rd June 2024

Provisional Interview Date: Friday 7th June 2024
