Full Job Description

This new post is to provide specialist radiology services to Velindre Cancer Centre.
The post holder will be competent in oncological radiology including reporting of CT, MR and ultrasound scans, Multi Disciplinary Team meeting attendance, general radiology oncall work and basic interventional procedures.
The post holder will spend three days in VCC and perform CT and MR reporting, as well as limited interventional work and MDT participation when required. The postholder, following sufficient notice, may be required to do day on-call and then the SPA is allocated to the day without on-call and daytime work adjusted.
This post is fixed term for 6 months to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job
The weekly timetable is variable, and the content of the clinical session may change dependent upon service need following workload planning meetings.
There is opportunity to teach medical students as well as radiology specialist registrars. Cardiff promotes skill mix in the workforce and the post holder will be expected to support the training and on-going work of the allied health professionals.
