Level 3 Childcare Practitioner

As a practitioner within our setting, you will have the opportunity to lead a range of activities, including role play, bouncy castle disco's, visits and outings, feeding a lamb and more! Your day to day role will be ever-changing, exciting and full of laughter. We allocate time before the session for admin related tasks, so that during the session your focus can be enjoying these activities and supporting children to engage and develop through the 16 play types., As an Childcare Practitioner, you will be working 9.00am-6.00pm Monday to Friday whilst role modelling your knowledge and best practice to colleagues and ensuring our children have the best start in life.,

• As a keyworker, you will ensure every individual child's needs are met, including supporting parents with any SEND needs.


• Prioritise the safeguarding of children.


• Speak up against practices that don't support safeguarding or our core values.


• Attend parents evening, recruitment/open day events and relevant training sessions.


• Build close relationships with parents and carers and report daily on their child's time at Nursery.


• Take ownership of the observation, assessments and planning for your key children in line with EYFS and provide developmentally challenging next steps.


• Remain up to date with our childcare policies and procedures.


• Be a key player to ensure the setting receives excellent outcomes in internal audits and those of external authorities such as Ofsted, EHO etc.


• Ensure we encourage and praise children's development and achievements.
  
  Level 3 qualification in Childcare/ Early Years


• Experience within a nursery/preschool/childminding environment


• A willingness to undertake relevant training in the future


• A passion for childcare and a genuine interest in child development.
