Full Job Description

The Big Blue Hotel is currently looking to recruit a highly motivated receptionist to join it's team.

You will be assisting in the day-to-day running of the hotel's reception. Working varying shifts covering the reception between 7am - 11pm on an eight hour day basis, including weekends and bank holidays.

Duties will include:-

  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Register guests and assign rooms, ensuring all necessary information is obtained.

  • Answer phone calls and provide information to guests or transfer calls to appropriate departments.

  • Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately

  • Process payments and maintain guest accounts

  • Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions

  • Resolve guest complaints or issues promptly and effectively.

  • Maintain a clean and organised front desk area.

    Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.

  • Knowledge of hotel operations and procedures.

  • Strong hospitality skills with the ability to anticipate guest needs.

  • Proficient in phone etiquette and handling multiple phone lines., reception: 1 year (preferred)
