Higher Level Teaching Assistant Ref- TV12824

We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who will complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals, groups or short term for whole classes including monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupils achievement, progress and development.

A key aspect of the role will be your involvement in supporting our SENDCO, Mrs Wedge. You will support Mrs Wedge with monitoring of IEPs, completion of external agency paperwork, liaison with external agencies, preparation of annual review paperwork, supporting with annual review meetings and completing interventions with children as required.

• Be committed to working within a team to continue to provide high quality services for our pupils and families.


• Meet Professional Standards for HLTA status or have equivalent qualification (NVQ Level 4)


• Have excellent numeracy/literacy skills - equivalent to level 2 in English and Maths
