Full Job Description

We are recruiting for a Head of New Business to join our B2B Acquisitions team, heading up the team and driving them to grow the business through bringing in new accounts and raising them up to trading threshold.

Experience within new business sales is desirable for this role and someone who has worked as either a Team Leader or in management would be beneficial.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Review the performance of all direct sales account managers against agree performance measures through monthly 121s, setting of objectives and giving feedback on performance

  • Ensure that all team members are equipped with the right training and skills to fulfil their roles effectively by providing and supporting opportunities for career development, creating personal development plans to rectify skills gaps

  • Manage sales performance against budget, reporting and tracking target opportunities and how they will be realised

  • Strategise with customers, vendors and the group to drive sales across all product groups

  • Lead proposals regarding end-user requirements, tender proposals and commercial agreements

  • Demonstrate a strong awareness of and commitment to Ethics and Compliance and the DCC Group Code of Conduct

    Experience in B2B sales with a thorough understanding of the distribution model

  • Experience managing, coaching and leading a team

  • Approachable and open to collaboration

  • Goal-oriented while ensuring things are done in the right way
