Governance Officer

Location: Cirencester, GL7 6JS

Salary: Grade 6 - A£28,759 - A£33,965 pro rata (Depending on experience)

Job type: Fixed-Term to 31 st August 2023

Hours: Part-time (0.4 FTE)

The Institutional Planning & Governance Directorate takes ownership of the development and implementation of the University's planning and performance cycle and of corporate governance. Institutional Planning & Governance influences and informs key business decision making, organisational planning and performance, underpinning organisational strategy. University growth is central to the Directorate and balanced against our accountability for strategic risk management.

To help ensure that high standards of governance are maintained at the RAU this role will provide effective administrative support and guidance within the Governance Team. You will be required to work with governors, committee members and shareholders to advise on governance policies and practices. The post holder will operate across the wider administrative and planning function to help ensure alignment between Governing Council matters and operational management.

This will involve ensuring effective records and minutes are taken for all committees and liaising with members of the Governing Council and the executive to arrange meetings, collate papers, prioritise diaries and manage associated tasks. With superb written and verbal communications skills, you will have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills and be a real team player.
