General Practitioner - Salaried GP

The practice timetable is designed to ensure the optimum delivery of our services to patients and other contractual obligations and these will vary over time. In accordance with this, and at the present time, the post-holder will undertake a variety of duties including, but not limited to, triage; telephone and face to face consultations and queries; visiting patients at home and in the community hospital; checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries; and handling results, correspondence and associated administrative tasks in a timely fashion (paper based, electronic etc). Participate and contribute to effective functioning of the practice team and its links to the wider communities Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation Assess the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems Screen patients for disease risk
