Full Job Description

  • To attend and pre-scope before the teams attend to ensure site is ready for works to commence

  • To audit sub-contractors / contractors activities working on behalf of Harlaxton Engineering Services including (but not limited to) traffic management to NRSWA requirements, excavation works - including backfill and reinstatement to HAUC specification and all associated installation(s).

  • Self-manage time and workload to ensure efficiency is achieved

  • Speak to and inform clients of any immediate issues whilst reporting full issues back to the relevant project people

  • To ensure teams, plant, equipment and documents are fully audited as per the audit schedules

  • To ensure all job instruction packs including Risk Assessments, Method Statements are followed and adhered too

  • To undertake an onsite risk assessment before work commences for Health & Safety hazards and adverse effects on the environment all in accordance with Harlaxton Engineering Services Health & Safety and environmental procedures

  • To report any incidents, problems or concerns relating to Health & Safety or environmental issues to the Project Manager or address directly with the client site managers' where appropriate

  • Ensure the host Network Operator specifications are fully complied with as instructed

  • To attend site meetings, pre-start & planning meeting, team briefings and tool box talks as required

  • To advise the Project Manager of progress

  • To inspect all tools & equipment in a satisfactory manner and ensure that calibration dates and certificates are in date.

  • To ensure all site instructions are adhered too

  • Ensure issued PPE is used appropriately and kept in a suitable condition for use

  • Ensure sufficient materials are available onsite for operatives to complete the scope of work

  • Admin duties as required

    The preferred candidate will have a flexible approach to work as no two days are ever the same and should enjoying working both as part of a team and independently. They will also and be confident to use their own initiative., General knowledge of Microsoft software - excel, word, outlook etc

  • Basic Health & Safety

  • Valid Emergency First Aid Certificate

  • Knowledge of Risk Assessments

  • Streetworks - NRSWA as appropriate

  • Relevant experience of category of work to be undertaken

  • Full UK Driving License

  • Cable location (CAT & Genny)

  • COSHH

  • Drawing appreciation

  • Hours of work are Monday-Friday 47.5 hours per week (some flexibility may be considered around core hours).
