Full Job Description

Responsible for the development of the older persons HUBS, supporting the arranging and organising of events and activities.

To supervise and manage the Community Living Scheme Managers and Community Living Support Officers within all the Community Living Schemes. Ensure the service delivered to residents is to the highest of standards and each scheme is kept safe and reliable.

To promote Older Persons HUB within local communities and with partner organisations.

Develop initiatives for older persons in partnership with appropriate agencies and organisations including local RSLs, health boards and third sector organisations. Ensure that effective links are developed and maintained with partner organisation to help support the services to be provided in Older Persons HUB e.g. health, social care, social activities.

Plan, develop, implement and co-ordinate a range of services as required to tackle social isolation, health, well-being and independent living. Encouraging social activities, including health priorities.

Source services in a cost effective method, working towards keeping costs to a minimum for older persons.

Responsible for overseeing the Older Persons HUBS at Community Living Schemes, ensuring their efficient and effective running including up to date risk assessments and adequate resourcing.

Develop a plan for promotion of Older Persons HUBS including advertising events and activities.

What We Are Looking For From You

To assist with the co-ordination and development of a professional Community Living service. To actively support the development of current and emerging technology to enhance Community Living accommodation and those working within the schemes.

Ensure that appropriate and up to date regulatory and financial procedures are in place and operate effectively in relation to relevant budgets.

To engage and communicate with staff, senior management, other Council departments and any external partners to develop and maintain the successful delivery of each scheme.

Representing council at community groups, stakeholder meetings and tenant's forum/meetings to discuss issues and feed-back. Engage with tenants/residents groups and families where appropriate to ensure the provision of services is appropriate for changing needs and demands for customer satisfaction., To assist and deputise for the Older Persons Accommodation Manager, supervising and supporting other team members and overseeing their performance as is reasonably required.
