Full Job Description

Working as part of a small but very friendly team, the role will include inputting patient referrals on to the patient administration system and contacting patients by letter and telephone to arrange appointments for Speech and Language Therapy, distribution of reports and scanning.

We are looking for a confident and efficient person, who demonstrates a helpful, courteous, professional and sensitive manner at all times, to join our busy Speech and Language Therapy administration team based in Wrexham Child Health Centre. This is a part time post, 21.25 hours per week, to be worked over 3 days. The ability to speak Welsh at level 4/5 is essential for this role or Welsh must be learnt within 12 months of appointment., Excellent IT skills, ideally in using a hospital administration system (or similar) are essential and you'll need to be an excellent, tactful communicator, sensitive to the needs of those with speech and language difficulties.

By the nature of the duties, the post-holder will be required to maintain strict confidentiality and will be expected to deal with patients, parents, carers, relatives, medical staff and other services, using the telephone and in writing, with courtesy and discretion at all times.
