Full Job Description

Unwind is a 3 caravan short breaks service located at the Llanridhian for children with disabilities.

Working in conjunction with our Swansea Short Breaks and NPT POPS Service, children and families are able to enjoy two-night residential short breaks at the park.

We ensure the children feel involved in their community and enjoy their childhood experience, whilst building their confidence and developing the family's resilience to deal with the day-to-day challenges of their care giving duties.

Prioritizing family health and well-being, we provide opportunities for families to recharge and enjoy quality time together.

As a Cleaner, you will ensure that premises and work areas are cleaned to the service standard, leading to a clean, safe, secure and healthy space. You will be responsible for ensuring adequate stock of cleaning supplies, and the safe use and storage of them.

  • Maintaining a stock of cleaning supplies necessary to complete tasks and where necessary, alert management to the need to replenish the stock.

  • Being responsible for the safe use and storage of cleaning materials, in line with Health & Safety at Work Regulations and Action for Children policies.

  • Maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen, including cleaning and safely packing away kitchen equipment, cutlery and utensils.

  • The ability to work on your own initiative when required.

  • A good knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety at work would be beneficial.

Wherever you work in the Action for Children family, you'll be helping to change the lives of the most vulnerable children in the UK.

  • Last year, we helped more than 670,000 children and families across the UK. From direct work in communities to national campaigning, we are focused on making sure every child has a safe and happy childhood, and the foundations they need to thrive.
