Full Job Description

Based on the busy reception desk, the post holder will be the face of the organization both in and outside of normal office hours. You will
greet building users, answer enquiries in person, via email and on the telephone and maintain a 'can-do' attitude at all times. Alongside
reception and general administrative duties, you will be a key player in our sales and marketing plan, taking a proactive approach to
promoting the building, our activities and upselling wherever possible., The Workshop has a commitment to staff well-being, and has worked with the Thriving Workplaces team, Norfolk's free workplaces health provider commissioned by Norfolk County Council to help us build a happier and healthier workforce.

    We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual to take on the role of Arts Engagement Worker here at The Workshop., Successful applicants will bring experience, energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the classes, and should be able to deliver according to our curriculum., Over the course of the year participants will hone skills in acting, singing and dance, working towards a production in July 2025. We are seeking two tutors who are confident in Direction, Musical Direction and Choreography.

    0 hrs, paid at Living Wage rate appropriate for age, Please see following a list of the classes we are recruiting for, together with ages of participants, times and an indication of content. Pay is £27-30 dependent on class.


  • TUESDAYS

    Seated Exercises

    Great for people with limited mobility or physical disabilities, these challenging sessions are tailored to individual ability and physicality, to build core inner strength, improve flexibility and physical confidence.

    Age: 18+

    Time: 12.15 - 1pm

    Dancercise

    This class will focus on general all-round physical fitness blending the movement of dance with exercises to improve cardio health, range of stretching and tone. This is an open level course, where everyone is welcome regardless of experience, and participants will be supported by an experienced tutor catering to their individual needs.

    Age: 18+

    Time: 11.30am-12.15pm

    THURSDAYS

    Pre-School Performing Arts

    A relaxed and fun session with lots of performing arts games such and exercises. The session helps the children experience a structured performing arts session and to start learning very basic techniques like first position, plié, ballet walks and tiptoe runs.

    Age: 3-4

    Time: 11-11.45am

    Over 50's Dance

    The sessions are designed for the participants to enjoy moving and dancing within a relaxed and supportive studio environment. This class is great for improving mobility, strength, coordination, technique, fitness, flexibility and the release of tension.

    Age: 50+

    Time: 1-2pm, Time: 9.30am-12.30pm

    Dance Company

    A multi-discipline, pre-professional dance company for young people in school years 7-13 (Senior) with strong physical skills from any art form or performance background. You will have the chance to experience various genres such as street dance, musical theatre and contemporary. There is also personal guidance and support for students interested in progressing into vocational training.

    Age: 14-18

    Time: 12.30-2pm

    Theatre Company

    Driven by young people, their voice is centre stage as they tell the stories they think need to be told with support from experienced professional theatre-makers in a nurturing, professional environment. Members will also work on a devised project of their own choosing.

    Time: 12.30-2pm

    Create Club

    Allowing participants to explore a range of arts activities in a friendly, accessible environment. The curriculum will rotate across different arts disciplines including music, writing, arts and crafts and film.

    Age: 14-18

    Time: 2-3pm

    Age: 14-18+
