Full Job Description

An Apprentice Nursery Assistant is required to work within this busy nursery in Sale, where you will learn about the Early years practitioner Standard and have the opportunity to work towards a career in childcare. You will be working alongside children aged from 0 months to 5 years.

Duties will include:

  • Supporting the children in their day-to-day routines

  • Planning and providing the children with learning and play activities to extend their development

  • Observing the children and contributing towards observations and learning journeys

  • Supporting the children in the outdoor play area, ensuring learning is brought outside

  • Helping and supporting the children at mealtimes throughout the day

  • Keeping the children safe at all times

  • Any other duties required by the manager

  • Having lots of fun!

    We are looking for a Level 2 Apprentice Early Years Practitioner, who is friendly and personable. You will help the nursery team to provide a friendly, caring, and relaxing environment that encourages child development. You will work towards a recognised Early Years Practitioner qualification., On successful completion of this apprenticeship, you will achieve the following:

  • Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard

  • Level 2 Early Years qualification

  • Functional Skills in maths and English, if required

  • Throughout the apprenticeship you will receive in-house training from the employer

  • This will ensure that you are competent on all aspects of the role

  • You will also have off-the-job training during the apprenticeship qualification, where you will be supported by a dedicated trainer and mentor, Communication skills, Customer care skills, Administrative skills, Team working, Creative, Initiative, Non judgemental, Patience, GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4/C) Desired

  • GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4/C) Desired, Early years practitioner

    Level 2 (GCSE)

    We are a family run nursery in Sale, Manchester. We provide a secure and fun space for 0-5 years.
