Full Job Description

· Lead and offer expert guidance, supervision, and management to a team of residential family support workers at Lakeview, overseeing day-to-day operations.

· Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations

· Achieve and maintain a minimum Ofsted rating of GOOD with aspirations and realistic strategies to achieve OUTSTANDING

· Advocate for and uphold the vision, values, policies, and ethos of Thrive Residential Care, actively promoting and ensuring adherence.

· Collaborate with the Operations Director in identifying, reporting, and managing current and emergency risks within the facility, including those affecting safeguarding, statutory compliance, or inspection ratings. Spearhead improvements to effectively mitigate risks.

· Cultivate productive relationships with relevant Local Authority staff, social workers, and other statutory agencies, such as police, child protection, and CAMHS.

· Ensure compliance with all data capture requirements and management information systems as mandated by Thrive Residential Care.

· Uphold the highest standards of care and service within the legislative framework, company procedures, ethos, and policy.

· Prioritise the safety of residents and staff, ensuring that safeguarding practices, procedures, and documentation meet regulatory requirements and professional expectations.

· Implement family-specific plans, monitoring progress and facilitating necessary reviews.

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, overseeing the effective documentation of procedures that deliver statutory compliance.

· Generate high-quality observation reports, providing feedback to social workers for fair parenting assessments and court attendance when necessary. Join court proceedings as required to support the process.

· Registered Social Work degree and registration with Social Work England

· Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management

· Minimum 2 years experience of managing a family assessment,

    Thrive Residential Care are looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager for our brand new Family Assessment home based in East Lancashire. The home, Lakeview, is a large detached property with expansive grounds and ample parking for all staff and visitors. The home is situated on the edge of Burnley in a quiet and tranquil setting with beautiful views of the countryside.


  • Thrive currently have a number of children's homes and a supported accommodation service for young people. This will be the organisation's first Family Assessment home and an excellent opportunity to join us at this exciting time of growth. We currently have a number of potential candidates for day and night family support workers and you will have an opportunity to help shape the team from the beginning. You will be able to develop and manage your team autonomously with support from our Director/RI and our Operations Director.

    Our management team are made up of the Director/RI and the Operations Manager. Both have many years of social care experience working with children and families and have pre-established relationships with LA teams. The company operates a relaxed and friendly working environment for all staff and is genuinely invested in the interests and development of everyone at Thrive. We are looking for a Registered Manager that shares our ethos of being a child centred organisation, offering the best possible service to LA partners and families in our care. We are very clear on focussing on quality of care before revenue.
