Full Job Description

The post holder will be responsible for overseeing all administrative tasks within the L&D team and providing a customer focused service to internal staff / teams. You will be responsible for overseeing the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring that all events, courses, evaluations and attendance is accurate and uploaded to the appropriate teams and staff as part of their induction and ongoing learning. You will lead on organising and administration of all training events. The role requires you to have excellent customer service, responding to queries in a timely manner.,

  • Administration and coordination of training bookings, venue hires and relationship management with external providers.

  • Lead on the administration and development of our e-learning platform, being the main internal contact for support.

  • Support in the auditing of training, bringing innovative solutions to redesign sessions and embed a more blended learning approach to St Basils culture.

  • Support with internal communications for learning initiatives across the organisation.

  • Answer first line queries from staff and providers.


  • Role Responsibilities:
  • Be committed to delivering good performance and a high level of customer service.

  • Work closely with the recruitment team and your wider working colleagues.

  • Undertake other duties that may be necessary and compatible with the nature of the post, and this will require flexibility in undertaking the role.

  • To attend and contribute to L&D meetings, training and other events as required

  • To undertake any duties deemed necessary by the line manager.

    Level 2 Maths & English


  • Role Experience:
  • Learning and Development experience or experience within a similar role

  • Strong administration skills

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data.


  • Knowledge:
  • A good standard of business English and Maths.

  • Up to date Employment Law knowledge to be able to apply wide ranging legislation relating to the employment cycle.


  • Skills:
  • Good communication skills with the ability to deal with people sensitivity, appreciate other people point of view, whilst being clear about learning and development and St Basils HR policies and procedures.

  • To remain confidential at all times.

  • Excellent interpersonal skill, including the ability to influence and promote best practice.

  • Strong and engaging training delivery / presentation skills.

  • The ability to work on own initiative, in a timely manner and to agreed deadlines.

  • Understanding of GDPR and its impact on the Learning & Development process.
