Full Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our small but friendly team. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance and support to our customers over the phone, online and in person around the Bishop's Stortford and Hertfordshire areas.

This role is only open to candidates that live within the Bishop's Stortford area.

Working schedule is Hybrid - mostly working from home with the occasional meet up with the team 2/3 times a month. Further training provided.

Key Duties:

- Communicate effectively with clients to understand, log, and resolve technical issues

- Provide IT support for hardware, software, and network-related problems

- Troubleshoot and remedy technical problems in a timely manner

- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications

- Setup up and maintaining office LAN networks

- Support users on both Mac OS and Windows platforms

- Manage and configure Windows and Linux servers

- Perform remote connections for maintenance, troubleshooting, and log capture

- Administering Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange Server, and Office 365

Proven experience in a technical support role for a minimum of 2 years.

- Working with Windows Server 2016/2019 essential. (2008 nice to have)

- Knowledge/working with Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange Server, and Office 365 essential

- Strong knowledge of IT systems, network infrastructure, and troubleshooting techniques

- Familiarity with various operating systems and software applications.

- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.

- Hands on experience with troubleshooting hardware.

- Knowledge of Draytek routers and Unifi network equipment preferred.,

  • A-Level or equivalent (preferred), Technical support: 2 years (preferred)
