Decontamination Engineering Lead

As Anglian Dental Engineering's Decontamination Engineering Lead, you will set up and lead the Decontamination Department. You will work with the Engineering Team Lead and the Operations Director to deliver decontamination services that meet the highest quality, safety and compliance standards. You will be a specialist in various equipment, such as Steam Sterilisers, Vacuum Sterilisers, Instrument Washer Disinfectors, and Autoclaves. This hybrid role will involve attending Decon installations and training engineers on how to service, repair, validate, and maintain this equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our advanced technologies. You will also inspect pressure vessels on autoclaves and comply with all relevant regulations and standards., · Responsible for establishing and managing the Decon department.

· Ensure the delivery of decontamination installation and services that meet the highest quality, safety, and compliance standards.

· Handle various equipment such as Steam Sterilisers, Vacuum Sterilisers, Instrument Washer Disinfectors, and Autoclaves.

· Train engineers on how to service, repair, validate, and maintain decontamination equipment.

· Conduct inspections on autoclaves and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

· Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support to customers and colleagues.

· Drive sales and sign up customers to the service contracts.

· Build and maintain good relationships with customers and suppliers.

· Keep accurate records of work done, parts used, and invoices issued.

· Minimum 5 years proven experience as a Decontamination Engineer or similar role in the dental industry

· Familiarity with the main brands of decontamination equipment, such as W&H, Melag, Eschmann, Mocom, NSK, etc.

· Excellent technical and problem-solving skills

· Comfortable leading a department and training engineers.

· Good communication and customer service skills

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Willingness to travel to different locations

· Enthusiasm and passion for the job

· Meticulous and organised, able to keep accurate records of work done, parts used, and invoices issued.
