Full Job Description
The Credit Specialist must aim to:
- Maintain high quality standards on every customer interaction
- Identify issues and facilitate resolution to ensure customers pay their invoices on time
- Exceed individual and Team level key performance indicators
- Exceed Performance and Productivity measures
- Adhere to client data protection and security policies
- Create and analyse reports for the portfolio of customer accounts assigned to you
- Utilise various tools available to locate customer contacts
- Verify the right customer contact(s) responsible to pay invoices, by telephone
- Understand the reason(s) for non-payment and create urgency through effective questioning
- Gain customer commitment to collect payments immediately and settle all overdue accounts
- Aim to set up electronic invoicing (to replace paper bills) for customers on every opportunity
- Remove roadblocks that may prevent customers from paying on time in the future
- Attend conference call with internal business partners
- Open any relevant billing disputes and missing payment investigations
- Complete allocations for unapplied credits and payments to resolve overdue accounts
- Initiate customer feedback surveys via email for all two-way interactions
- Enter clear and concise notation for all activities in Collections systems and Team trackers
Experience of working in a Credit / Collections environment desirable - Excellent verbal and written communication
- Fluent in English (verbal & written)
- Confident in telephone and email interactions with customers
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)
- Sound judgement and decision making
- Analytical and problem solving
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and set priorities
- Motivated to exceed performance measures
- Able to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
- Actively participate in Team building activities, Customer service: 1 year (required)
