Counter Assistant

Your day-to-day tasks will include: -

Following our standard operating procedures for all services;

• Accurately taking orders via an Epos touchscreen system, communicating with our food preparation team and when orders are ready, dish up and serve to the customer.


• Attending customers in a friendly and professional manner at all times.


• Dealing with bill payments and ensuring accuracy.


• PDQ machine and cash handling.


• Maintaining the cleanliness of the work area


• Re-stocking fridges and other products as and when necessary.


• Together with the rest of the team cleaning down all equipment and work area at close of business in order to maintain our high standards of cleanliness / hygiene and operational efficiencies.


You will also need to be on hand to converse with our customers, answering any questions knowledgeably about the food, the surrounding area and what Teignmouth can offer them.

You will be required to work any day of the week (Monday to Sunday) in varying shift patterns.

Finn McCools are looking for several counter staff to join our friendly team at our speciality Fish and Chip Take-Away on Teignmouth sea-front. You must have a natural way about you that makes you extremely personable and polite and have a 'can do attitude'. Staff must also be willing to work in the restaurant when required so experience in waiting tables is helpful.

Full training will be provided, however previous experience is a bonus.
