Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced compliance officer, looking to progress to the next level who is looking to work in a fast-paced FinTech start-up. As part of the Risk & Compliance team, reporting to the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that Moneyfarm and Profile Pensions meet their day to day regulatory responsibilities As part of the Risk Management Function, you will work closely with colleagues to make sure that all regulatory risks are identified, assessed, measured, managed and mitigated where possible.,

  • Supporting the 1st Line of Defence in embedding best practice in relation to MI and Governance by providing insightful recommendations.

  • Identifying, assessing, measuring and managing all regulatory risks to which the firm is exposed;

  • Assisting the business by providing advice, answering questions and responding to requests.

  • Evaluating the impact of material changes or exceptional transactions on the firm's institution's and group's risk profile;

  • Monitoring regulations and regulatory change as well as industry best practice and updating our Horizon Scanning tracker as appropriate.

  • Producing Board risk and compliance reports on a quarterly basis as well as ad-hoc risk reporting;

  • Supporting the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer with the rollout of education and training to improve compliance awareness, incident reporting and drive cultural change among staff and senior management;

  • Enhancing compliance department and organisation reputation through exceptional delivery and by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests

    minimum experience of 3-5 years in a similar role gained working for financial institutions;

  • excellent verbal and written communication skills required to build relationships with Functions management and senior management;

  • strong analytical and organisational skills;

  • ability to influence, to negotiate, to conceptualise issues and translate into solutions.

  • proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
