Full Job Description

Joining the business as a Civil Engineer you will be working as a part of a friendly, professional team of engineers and technicians based in Derby as well as working closely with other teams within the business.

The role will focus on the design and drafting of civil engineering works, using a variety of software including Microdrainage and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a consistent and professional level of communication at all times to clients and other stakeholders.


  • Prepare reports.


  • Create engineering drawings using CAD packages and sketches for drafting.


  • Assessing the environmental impact and risks connected to design decisions.


  • Assessing the Health and Safety impact and risks connected to design decisions.


  • Monitoring progress during each phase of a project.

    At least 2 years experience in a Civil Engineering position.


  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.


  • Attention to detail, showing the ability to deliver clear and accurate information.


  • Organised individual able to plan and prioritise your work to ensure that deadlines are met.

Projects worked on include student accommodation, care homes, regeneration schemes, public sector, leisure, private residential, affordable housing, industrial, education and healthcare.
