Full Job Description

MLL has a growing base of significant customer contracts in the public sector market primarily with Local Authorities and the NHS.

The MLL core proposition is based on a wide range of network connectivity services ranging from dark fibre through exchange-based local access to microwave services with a range of supplemental value-add offers covering LAN and Wi-Fi, Voice, Unified Communications, Contact Centre Cloud, Cyber Security and Professional Services.

The purpose of this role is to deliver new business sales from a set of target NHS accounts in line with company strategic regional objectives and agreed targets. You will be expected to establish, maintain and grow relationships in order to develop new opportunities and build sales.

The role will be primarily field based with requirements for weekly visits to MLL's Marlow office, partner and customer face to face meetings.

Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the achievement of sales order value and margin targets from a set of target new accounts in a defined region

  • Assist the Strategic Client Directors in developing strong and credible sales plans

  • Ensure all customer information for your target named accounts is accurate on MLL systems.

  • Monitor and regularly report on opportunity progress for your named accounts through the MyMLL CRM tool.

  • Manage the sales cycle, close sales and complete handovers into the delivery team.

  • Identify possible improvement opportunities.

  • Complete of administrative work associated with the sales process, utilising your business knowledge to assess customer needs and enhance the customer buying experience.

  • Identify opportunities whilst collaborate cross-functionally to provide sales support.

  • Be proactive in understanding our products, systems, and procedures., Accountability requires some kind of honest review to reflect how we are doing against our responsibilities. This is not simply about a contract or project plan, it is about a mindset, an air that is portrayed as 'we have got this!'

  • At least 3 - 5 Years public sector experience with a demonstrable track record of winning new business with the NHS

  • Strong background in Telecoms with a good understanding around WAN, LAN and WiFi, Unified Communications, Contact Centre, SIP, VOIP, Cyber Security & Cloud Services.

  • Any experience with working with the UK telcos or equipment manufacturers including Fortinet, HP Aruba, Gamma, Netcall, and Palo Alto particularly welcome

  • Experience in utilising CRM systems to capture information, manage pipeline and forecast sales

  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Excellent all round communication skills
